Set in idyllic rolling countryside, only twenty minutes north of Rome, Borgo della Merluzza is an ancient walled settlement that has been converted into an exclusive wedding and events venue.
Surrounded by landscaped gardens and lush woodland, the Merluzza served as a coaching inn as early as the Middle Ages when it was known as Tor Merluzza. Here, pilgrims heading to Rome and travelers along the via Cassia, would stop for a rest and a change of horses.

The 19th century poet Gioacchino Belli referred to the Merluzza as the haunt of highway brigands who preyed on coaches and wayfarers. Today, the property lies in five hectares of spectacular parkland. The manicured lawns and century-old olive and cedar trees create a beautiful backdrop to the historic stone building, the fountain-like pool and opus incertum. Restored to its original splendor using traditional building materials, the Borgo combines the charm of a bygone era with modern comfort.
