The Merluzza’s fortress-like architecture provides an impressive backdrop for a sun-set “aperitivo” and pool-side banqueting. The terraces around the pool can accomodate up to 200 seated guests, as can the indoor banqueting halls that look out onto the surrounding gardens.
The elegant decor, with its tapestries and blazing fireplaces, makes the Borgo a sought after party venue year round. A luxurious bridal suite and eight delightful bedrooms are available for guests wishing to stay overnight.
Within the Borgo’s walls lies the original 17th century casale, an ideal venue for smaller gatherings of up to 70 guests. With ancient fireplaces, stone floors and elegant furnishings this historic coaching inn is a cosy alternative to the main castle building and disposes of its own independent entrance, kitchens and a sunny stone patio with a stone pizza oven and flowering wisteria in the spring. From the casale, guests can enjoy the view of the Merluzza’s look-out tower and have access to an enclosed lawn for outdoor luncheons, cocktails, anniversaries or business lunches.
